Import & export

Keep this page open while an import runs; closing it stops the import. You can keep using the app meanwhile: while an import is running, links open in a new tab.
Import & Export options
  • Import from BGG: games from your BoardGameGeek collection or a CSV file
  • Export to BGG: download your BGI collection as a CSV file for BoardGameGeek
To add a single game with BGG search and your own photo, use Create Game instead.

Import from BGG collection

Sync imports games you own on BoardGameGeek. You review every change first; nothing is deleted without asking.

Import from a BGG CSV export

On BGG, open your collection, choose Export, download the CSV and upload it here.

Import by BGG IDs

The ID is in the game's BGG address, e.g. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/174430/gloomhaven

Export to BoardGameGeek

Download your BGI collection as a CSV file BoardGameGeek tools can read. Only games with a BGG ID are exported.

To load it into BGG, use a tool like bggcli or bggupload, or add the games by hand.

Backup and restore

A complete copy of your games (with their label UIDs), locations (with their label codes), players and plays. Restore it into any BGI to move or take over a collection; printed labels keep working. Personal cover images, avatar and label logo are included, together with profile data and your other records. Auxiliary social/integration records and pending queues are exported for inspection; restore adds the inventory and its cover files. Restoring only adds: games and plays that already exist are left alone.

Restored labels are private. Account links and external write queues stay in the archive for inspection.
